This listing is for the available CLASSIC vases in the LARGE size.
ABOUT THE SLATE VASE:
This artistic product offers a wonderfully low maintenance way to have longer-lasting arrangements. The shallow profile concept is based on an Ikebana style vase from Japan - with our unique addition of the natural stone.
Each piece of raw SLATE is handpicked carefully for its quality and durability. Then undergoes a rigorous process of being hammered, shaped and drilled – The result is a sturdy artisan piece crafted with love and care.
Selecting the vase option (e.g. #002) will show you a specific vase available to purchase. If the selection button is greyed out, then that vase has been sold.
As every vase is a one-off, please know it cannot be recreated.
(The black rectangle underneath the vase(s) is to help visually indicate size.
The black area is a standard A4 sized page measuring 297mm x 21mm / 11.75 x 8.25 inches)
From Noosa, Australia.
SIZE – LARGE:
- STANDARD hole in slate and 38 mm Kenzan (spikes).
- LARGE water reservoir under slate (17cm diameter)
The LARGE sized vases are versatile and can display short, medium and tall arrangements.
This vase can add that natural touch to any decor. It is lovely as a table centrepiece and with shorter stems, easily allows for dinner table conversation.
The large size also has stability (with a wide 17cm saucer underneath) and handles often tricky top-heavy flowers (e.g. Birds of Paradise) with ease.
Note: If a stem droops over time, it is simple to trim stem(s) shorter or use a supporting branch.
DESIGN – CLASSIC:
The CLASSIC Slate Vase is the most popular of our artisan products, displaying the slate stone as a display feature in its own right.
Nature's artwork of colour, texture and character on the slate surface is completely sealed (inside and out), ensuring its full ability as a functional, water-holding vase.

While wondering through Eumundie Markets I found this stall and loved it. I bought the medium size Slate Vase and put some orchids and fern in it, and it's looks really lovely.🙂
So easy to use. I prefer this over a vase of flowers. The flowers lasts a really long time.
My sister liked the look of it and sent a picture of it with one flower. It looked good but I am waiting to see how it looks with larger or more flowers. She seemed very happy to receive it as she likes things Japanese or Japanese style. I loved it. I thought the idea was clever and the work was excellent
The Bird of Paradise was my first flower arrangement. The Slate Vase became an eye-catcher. I got a lot of positive feedback from my friends as well. The Medium Vase is on its way to Germany for a birthday present. It will certainly delight the recipient as well.
