IMPORTANT NEWS:

THE SLATE VASE is AWAY from 
Saturday 28th Nov to Monday 14th Dec 2020

DELIVERY for purchases in this time will be on HOLD until Tuesday 15th December.
Due to this inconvenience, we will UPGRADE these purchases to EXPRESS POSTAGE (within Australia) at our cost. They will be lodged at the Post Office on Tuesday 15th Dec.

CHRISTMAS DELIVERY DEADLINES:

AUSTRALIAN GUARANTEED* SHIPPING:

  • STANDARD shipping: only available until Friday 27th Nov, 2020

    After 27th Nov any vase purchased will have their delivery ON HOLD (as Mary is unavailable for two weeks) and only sent EXPRESS on Tuesday 15th Dec. Delivery is via Australia Post**

  • EXPRESS shipping: Purchase by 5pm Thursday 17th Dec, 2020.

    This allows time for packaging and lodgement at the Post Office for the 9am Fri 18th Dec Christmas delivery cut-off.

**Shipping guarantee dates provided by Australia Post is 18th Dec. Delivery guarantees are at the discretion of Australia Post.

Please note that there are expected delays with Australia Post and some Courier services during CoVid-19.  We will have your purchases packaged up and delivery booked within the time frame as usual. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that your package will arrive within the normal time frames.

INTERNATIONAL PURCHASES

We take care with our packaging but if for any reason your item arrives damaged, please contact us immediately. 


GENERAL DELIVERY DETAILS BELOW

Your order will be shipped within 3 business days of purchase. 

Within Australia - delivery costs are given at checkout and are a flat rate calculated for the total weight of your package. This will depend on the combined item(s) in your package. (see below under Product Weight).

WITHIN AUSTRALIA:

The Slate Vase currently uses either a Courier Service or Australia Post to deliver any packages. 
In the checkout process you will be offered two options (price scale dependent on total package weight):
 
1. STANDARD delivery (approx. 5 - 10 business days *)

  • Delivered via Courier for 'metro' addresses
  • Delivered via Australia Post for 'rural' / 'PO Box' addresses
  • Tracking provided (via email)
  1. EXPRESS delivery (approx. 1 - 2 business days *)
  • Delivered via Australia Post
  • Tracking provided (via email)

* If you are outside the standard delivery network (rural) it may take longer to deliver your package...

IF you have specific delivery instructions -
Example: "signature on deliveryOR  "Authority to Leave"
You will need to leave these details during the checkout process
in the note section.
 
NOTE: Any parcel which has the "Authority to leave" instruction, (as per the request of the customer) is under no circumstances the responsibility of The Slate Vase once it has been left by the courier. If the parcel is damaged/stolen it is the customer's responsibility. No refund will be issued in these situations.

The final delivery cost for your order can be viewed during checkout and may change depending on additional items that you have added to your cart.

 

DELIVERY SPEED

How quickly a package will arrive at your address depends on the STANDARD or EXPRESS option chosen, as well as your location within Australia (rural or metro etc). 

NOTE: Within Australia, Courier delivery can take slightly longer than Australia Post.  If you require your package urgently - it is best to select the EXPRESS delivery option.

 

DELIVERY DELAY

If your package does not turn up within an expected time frame, please contact us. Please note however that we don't consider a parcel 'lost' in the post until it has been a full 40 days from the date of shipping.   In most cases, a delay may mean that an attempted delivery has occurred and that your parcel is waiting for you at your nearest post office for collection.

If you have provided your email address, you will receive tracking information for your package delivery from either the courier (eg. Sendle) OR Australia Post.  If you do not receive this tracking email within 5 business days of your order, please let us know. It could be a case of miss-spelt email addresses and/or delivery issues.

 

DAMAGE IN DELIVERY

Great care is taken with wrapping/packaging up each order.  Happily, we can say The Slate Vase has a great track record in getting our packages safely to our customers.

If, in the rare circumstance, your item(s) arrive damaged, please immediately take a photo(s) of the damage and send written details along with a photo(s) to theslatevase@gmail.com.  We need to be notified asap due to the conditions of communication with the delivery provider.  Any notification of damage must occur within 7 days of delivery.  After 7 days we can no longer offer any refund options. Please include photographs of each item damaged as well as photos of the condition of the packaging.  This important feedback can help us avoid future packaging/deliveries issues.

After receiving your notification and photographs of any damage - we will let you know the next steps to return the item(s) and your options for replacement(s).

 

FREE SHIPPING DEALS (Within Australia Only)

Any FREE SHIPPING deals are always STANDARD shipping unless stated otherwise. Currently, the free shipping deal applies to orders over the value of $195 AUD and only for Australian Addresses.

If you would like EXPRESS SHIPPING when you spend over $195 AUD there should be an option for you to upgrade to Express Shipping at the checkout - however, this will be at your cost.

We are not able to offer any free shipping deals for international delivery.

 

PRODUCT WEIGHT

Due to the variety with slate stone - the weight of a product is not always reflected by the size.  Weights are included in each specific product listing. Each slate product is completely unique.  Shipping Costs will depend on the size and weight of each item adding up to a final combined weight of purchases in a package.

NOTE: At the market stall, both lightweight AND heavy vase options are regularly selected by my customers.  A chunky heavier piece of slate might possibly add to the shipping cost (if a package is near its limit) however it also can offer extra stability to the vase function. Both heavy and lightweight vases have their advantages.  To determine the individual weight of each product please see the specific listing details.

The final package weight will be calculated in the checkout page - and will fit in either of the following 3 package sizes and prices.

TRACKING YOUR ORDER (within Australia)

Once your order is packed and the delivery booked, you will receive notification of 'order fulfilment'.  The information provided to you will include a tracking number.
If you do not receive any automatic notification please contact The Slate Vase to this up follow up. It may be due to a misspelling of the email address during the checkout process?

If you are not at the address at the time of delivery you may be left a card and the parcel will be taken to your local post office or pick up location.  If you prefer to have "Authority to Leave" on your package please include this in the comment section of the delivery details page.
