EACH PIECE IS UNIQUE... HERE ARE MORE VASES THAT GOT AWAY! SOLD SOLD SOLD
This listing shows more SOLD vases in the SMALL size with the GECKO motif etched into the slate stone.
These vases have been purchased through this website and are being used in homes & workplaces (receptions, schools, hospitals, restaurants, cafes, hairdressers, you name it!) throughout Australia and beyond.
Each one has a handcrafted shape and unique stone texture & colour.
Individual sections of raw slate are carefully handpicked for quality and durability and then put through a rigorous process of being hammered, shaped and drilled. The result is a sturdy artisan piece with expected use for many years to come.
As every vase is a one-off, please know it cannot be recreated.
(The photos with a black rectangle under the vase is to help visually indicate size. The black area is a standard A4 sized page measuring 297mm x 21mm / 11.75 x 8.25 inches)
From Noosa, Australia.
SIZE - SMALL:
- The SMALL sized vases suit shorter and smaller arrangements.
They are fantastic for single or few stems;
Many customers also use this size for small bunches of herbs in the kitchen.
- STANDARD hole in slate and 38 mm Kenzan (spikes).
- SMALL water reservoir under slate (11cm diameter)
ETCHED DESIGN – GECKO:
The design is carved into the stone surface (via a handcrafted process - no computers or lasers), inked for increased definition and then sealed.
The GECKO design can be even fully appreciated when it is seen basking on the slate under a lovely flower arrangement...
These curious creatures are often considered to be a sign of good luck and a symbol of keeping one eye on the past while focusing the other on the future.
Geckos have been symbolically linked to ... conservation, agility, dreaming, renewal, transformation, ancient energy.
The gecko lizard has a thick stumpy tail which they can drop in defence during a fight, and later re-grow. This can be symbolic of the ability to "let go of" or detach from something that is no longer needed in order to move on, survive, and grow.
