The Slate Vase offers a 7 day full refund for return policy.   If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact us within 7 days of receiving it. We cannot accept responsibility for postage and handling charges. 


Items damaged in transit

Happily, we can say The Slate Vase has a great track record in getting our packages safely to our customers.  Great care is taken with wrapping / packaging up each order.

If, in the rare circumstance, your purchase is delivered to you damaged - please contact us immediately on (M) 0403 823 298 or

Please also take photographs of each item damaged as well as photos of the condition of the packaging.  We need this important feedback to help with future packaging / deliveries.

After receiving photographs of any damage - we will let you know the next steps to return the item(s) and your options for replacement(s).



Defective items

Each Slate Vase is handmade and great care is taken in the artisan manufacturing process.

  • Each piece of slate is sealed with a quality, non-toxic slate sealant all over the stone surface, ensuring the non-porousness vital to its use.

  • The specific shallow saucer that is the water reservoir is also twice sealed for the full ability to hold water long term.

  • The 'Kenzan' spike is also of the highest quality. Manufactured by a expert company in Japan, and made from marine grade stainless steel for maximum use submerged in water.  Each Kenzan is made specifically for this unique vase function and will last for years to come. (no inferior copies are used here!)

We will do all we can to ensure this is always the experience.  Our production process is labour intensive and carefully done. The quality and function that is renown with The Slate Vase products is very important to us.

Refunds (if applicable)

In the event of a return: we will notify you of the steps ahead to either provide a refund (if applicable) or a store credit.

If If a refund is required then a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
